After months of sitting on folding chairs it was decided that we probably needed something made of actual wood. After some unsuccessful visits to various new furniture retailers we stopped into a consignment shop and saw a great table and six chairs for just a couple hundred bucks. The problem was that the table and chairs were kind of ugly. Two cans of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint later, we ended up with a really awesome looking blue table and six white chairs. A few weeks later we followed suit by buying two old padded chairs for $35 a piece, repainting them and reupholstering the fabric. The fact that each of these projects turned out as well as they did is rather unbelievable, and yet we have pictures to prove it.
